Yonex EZONE 110 7th Gen Tennis Racquet gets a new, thicker shaft for improved stability. The convex design helps reduce torque on off center hits for greater power. The 7th generation EZONE adds 2G-NAMD graphite for faster ball speed without sacrificing comfort. Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) in the handle filters out unwanted vibrations without overly muting the response. The sweet spot of the EZONE feels massive thanks to Yonex` Isometric head. A refined aero shape design features a thinner frame face for a softer feel. Yonex carried over their Liner Tech technology from the previous version by using straight hole grommets to elongate the sweet spot. The result is more power and comfort, even when missing the sweet spot. The cross section is slightly thicker at each level than the previous version and while it still has the iconic EZONE feel, the racquet plays sturdier and a bit more powerfully than the previous models. The EZONE 110 has the largest head of any EZONE frame, but it also is 27.25 inches long for greater reach, spin, and power. Because of this, the racquet carries a bit more power but it maintains the comfortable feel the EZONES are known for. At only 9 ounces unstrung, this model is very easy to swing.
Overall, the EZONE 110 (255G) places power and comfort firmly into the players' hands, allowing for additional ball speed. This frame is an impressive option for the intermediate to beginner player looking for controllable power from a lighter weight frame with a large head size. The specifications of the EZONE 110 (255G) remain close to the previous generation EZONE 108, now with a larger 110 square inch head, a light 9.6 ounce strung weight, and an 16x18 string pattern with a slightly extended length of 27.25 inches.
TECHNOLOGY:
ISOMETRIC: Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC™ design increases the sweet spot by 7%*. Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC™ racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings. ISOMETRIC™ technology delivers greater control without sacrificing power.
O.P.S (Oval Pressed Shaft): First introduced in 1969 with the T-7000 - our first aluminum tennis racquet - the Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS) is still incorporated into our most popular racquet series today. The Oval Pressed Shaft is designed to give players more spin, control, and feel. The shaft flexes at impact, increasing dwell time and minimizing vibrations.
VIBRATION DAMPENING MESH (VDM):First used in Yonex snowboards to reduce vibrations at impact, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) is now used in four of our racquet series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve touch and precision.
LINER TECH: Liner Tech Grommet & String System features straighter grommet holes for less string on racquet friction. It also includes optimal string spacing for greater control in the hitting zone and more forgiveness on off-center hits.
2G-NAMD SPEED: A high modulus graphite fibers are bound with a carbon nanotube (CNT) structure, reducing energy loss, which enables to transfer the energy into quick snapback.
Â
AERO SHAPE DESIGN: An inverted frame design with a thinner frame face results in a softer racquet.
SHAFT DESIGN: A thicker shaft structure with a convex design reduces unwanted racquet torque on off-centered shots for added power.
