The Yonex EZONE 100SL 7th Gen Tennis Racquet gets a new, thicker shaft for improved stability. The convex beam design helps reduce torque on off center hits for greater power. The 7th generation EZONE adds 2G-NAMD graphite for faster ball speed without sacrificing comfort. Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) in the handle filters out unwanted vibrations without overly muting the response. The sweet spot of the EZONE feels massive thanks to Yonex` Isometric head. A refined aero shape design features a thinner frame face for a softer feel. Yonex carried over their Liner Tech technology from the previous version by using straight hole grommets to elongate the sweet spot. The result is more power and comfort, even when missing the sweet spot. The cross section is slightly thicker than the previous version and while it still has the iconic EZONE feel, the racquet plays sturdier and a bit more powerfully than the previous models. The EZONE 100SL separates itself from the 100 and 98 models thanks to the more open 16×18 string pattern and lighter 10 ounce strung weight. It allows players who need a very lightweight frame, to experience the best EZONE technologies without worrying about the racquet being too heavy.
Overall, the EZONE 100SL (270G) places power firmly into the players’ hands, allowing for additional ball speed. This frame is an impressive option for the intermediate to beginner player with a moderate swing, looking for excellent feel, spin, stability, and precision. The specifications of the EZONE 100SL (270G) come in as the super light version of the 100, with a 100 square inch head, 10 ounce strung weight, and an open 16×19 string pattern.

ISOMETRIC: Developed over 30 years ago, the ISOMETRIC™ design increases the sweet spot by 7%*. Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped ISOMETRIC™ racquet generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings. ISOMETRIC™ technology delivers greater control without sacrificing power.
O.P.S (Oval Pressed Shaft): First introduced in 1969 with the T-7000 – our first aluminum tennis racquet – the Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS) is still incorporated into our most popular racquet series today. The Oval Pressed Shaft is designed to give players more spin, control, and feel. The shaft flexes at impact, increasing dwell time and minimizing vibrations.
VIBRATION DAMPENING MESH (VDM):First used in Yonex snowboards to reduce vibrations at impact, Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) is now used in four of our racquet series. VDM is a stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations and improve touch and precision.
LINER TECH: Liner Tech Grommet & String System features straighter grommet holes for less string on racquet friction. It also includes optimal string spacing for greater control in the hitting zone and more forgiveness on off-center hits.
2G-NAMD SPEED: A high modulus graphite fibers are bound with a carbon nanotube (CNT) structure, reducing energy loss, which enables to transfer the energy into quick snapback.
AERO SHAPE DESIGN: An inverted frame design with a thinner frame face results in a softer racquet.
SHAFT DESIGN: A thicker shaft structure with a convex design reduces unwanted racquet torque on off-centered shots for added power.
