The Yonex Astrel (115) Tennis Racquets are made for advanced recreational players who place an emphasis on a lightweight frame for the utmost in control and power. The most unique thing about the ASTREL 115, is the slightly reduced length of 26.75 inches. The shorter length makes the large 115 square inch head size incredibly easy to get moving. Using React Resin, a lightweight and flexible material built into the graphite, the ASTREL 115 is built to be more flexible and comfortable than a typical game improvement racquet. Continuing the comfort trend, Yonex incorporates the Tri-Shut System of three different materials: Vibslayer Carbon, Shock-less Grommets, and Vibration Dampening Mesh. VDM is a stretchy mesh material wrapped around the graphite inside the handle to filter out unwanted vibrations. The handle of the ASTREL 115 features Yonex' Ergo Power Grip which means the grip is larger at the bottom, and thinner towards the top of the grip. The system allows more of your hand to be in contact with the grip for better access to power.

• Newly Designed Shaft: The shaft has been made with a cross-sectional design, resulting in a 15% increase in shaft stiffness, also cutting down on twisting at the throat.
• ISOMETRIC: Created by YONEX in 1980, the ISOMETRIC head shape is a unique and evolutionary breakthrough technology in racquet design. In conventional racquets, the sweet spot is located where main strings and cross strings meet. The YONEX ISOMETRIC head shape allows us to increase the number of main and cross strings that meet in the centre of the racquet to produce a sweet spot which gives a 7% more effective hitting area for you to make match winning shots.
• React Resin: light and flexible material incorporating into the graphite to create a comfortable feel with each swing.
• Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM): Stretchy mesh material wrapped around the graphite within the grip to filter unwanted vibrations.
• Quad Force Gear:Thick side grommets have been equipped on the four corners of head, extending the effective length of the strings. Additionally, the racquet frame on the whole has been made thicker to varying degrees, resulting in the frame achieving uniform stiffness.  With an overall expanded sweet spot, players are able to experience an increase in repulsion off of the string bed.
