TECHNOLOGY:

• Big Grommets: Big Grommet technology is a Volkl Tennis trademarked design to give more forgiving and comfortable performance. Big Grommets allow greater string movement for an increased sweet spot.  Most tennis racquet have the pivot point of their string beds at the inside of the grommet. Strings in Volkl Tennis racquets using Big Grommet technology pivot closer to the outside of the frame because the grommets have a funnel shape -bigger on the inside of the frame. This increases dwell time, the amount of time the ball spends in the string bed thereby enhancing spin and control. In addition, the string bed has more energy to release for more power without requiring a bigger swing.
• Precise Power:  Precise Power beam shape uses a classic beam design combined with box beam construction in different areas of some Volkl Tennis racquet models.  By combining different beam designs in one frame Volkl Tennis engineers have come up with a way to give traditional Volkl feel while building a racquet with performance characteristics not normally associated with comfort. Precise Power beam designs can also give more power and/or more control than traditional racquet designs using only one beam concept.
• Dual Dampening Grip: VVolkl Tennis’ Dual Dampening Grip Handle system, currently used in the V1 Classic and new V1 EVO. It was developed for the original VARIO series and V Classic using a two-part racquet shaft injected the full length of the handle with rubber-like thermoplastic under the Volkl Tennis pallet. The Dual Dampening Grip Handle System gives good feedback, great dampening and creates the iconic Volkl Tennis ‘plush’ feel even on stiffer frames.
