DESCRIPTION:

The new Yonex RDS 001 MidPlus is updated for 2008 with a new matte finish cosmetic and still remains a perfect control frame for the advanced player looking for stability and manuverability in a player-oriented package. Racquet specs remain the same so players will find the same control oriented response they loved in the previous version. yet another impressive player's racquet from Yonex and well worth a look for players at the 4.0+ level.

TECHNOLOGIES:

ISOMETRIC:
10% bigger sweetspot than an ordinary round head racquet The ISOMETRIC square head shape reduces the inert space found in a conventional round frame. As a result, the racquet is easier to swing through and has superior manoeuvrability.

The sweetspot is the area of a racquet where the longest main and longest cross strings meet in the stringbed. In an ordinary roundframe racquet, the sweetspot is where the 8 main and 11 cross strings meet.

In the YONEX ISOMETRIC square head racquet, 10 main and 13 cross strings meet in the stringbed to produce a sweetspot that is 10% larger than the effective hitting area of a conventional round head racquet.

HEXOGON CROSS SECTION:
The YONEX unitized box and triangular cross-section produces more head speed for nimble manoeuvrability and a solid feel at impact.

O.P>S.:
O.P.S. (Oval Pressed Shaft) technology builds into the throat, the right amount of flex for an extended dwell time for easier spin and directional control.

ELASTIC TI:
Elastic Ti charges the shaft for power, velocity and better control YONEX Nano-scale Elastic Ti is the only alloy providing racquet qualities once considered impossible - extremely low elasticity and extremely high strength together.

Elastic Ti is 44% less elastic and 8% stronger compared with the previous best Ti alloy.

The lower a shaft's elasticity, the more it flex it provides and the higher its strength, the more resiliency it delivers.

FLEX / TORSION CONTROL:
The front of the shaft is 14% wider that a conventional racquet's. The wider YONEX shaft increases the racquet's ability to provide high repulsion power, manoeuvrability and to generate solid and stable shots at full swing.

I.P.S.:
I.P.S. (Integrated Power Weight System) positions extra weight at the sides of the frame to give the face a greater moment of inertia.

SOFT GROMMET:
RDS Racquets feature soft grommets in the corners of the frame. These function to reduce the shock of off-centre hits which, in effect, widens the sweetspot further still.

SHOCKLESS GROMMET:
YONEX integrates Shockless Grommets at the side and bottom of the frame to minimize the muscle fatigue of long play. In addition to their ability to protect the wrist, forearm and elbow by absorbing shock, Shockless Grommets provide a soft feel at impact.

SUPER CUSHION GRIP:
Super Cushion Grip minimizes vibration. The grip's cushioning performance helps protect the wrist, forearm and elbow against shockinduced injuries.
