We all agree men and women are different. While women-specific products are not a new idea, many in the past were merely cosmetic versions of an existing product.
VÖLKL Tennis is different too! The tradition of VÖLKL Tennis demands that we take a different approach. Instead of just "fashion" or non-functional technologies, we've addressed the anatomical aspects often unique to women by blending "form", "function" and "fashion" into a tennis racquet. TECHNOLOGIES:
ATTIVA: VÖLKL TENNIS developed ATTIVA with the specific focus being those anatomical differences between men and women. Some facts: Women on average are 10 % smaller in stature and 15% lighter in weight. A woman’s centre of gravity is lower – thus on average, they generate 30 % less force. While men try to compensate their technical weaknesses with sheer muscle strength, women have a much more acute sense of feel and react to that with more finesse. VÖLKL TENNIS initiated the development of ATTIVA by gathering women from all ages and walks-of-life to create a “Taskforce” – all of who share the love for tennis. Their assignment was to talk with as many other women as possible and then compile their findings. We wanted to see if their personal assessments agreed with our technical findings – they did and the result is what VÖLKL TENNIS has technically developed to be the ATTIVA line. Now for the first time ever, a tennis racquet that is specifically gender-focused – sorry guys!
DNX Technology: DNX is the purest form of graphite known to exist. Significantly lighter than other carbon fibres and most important, it is 25-times stronger! With these unique properties DNX is destined for future use in the air & space industries. DNX is uniquely special due to it being a perfect microscopic ‘tubular’ construction – allowing maximum strength at all angles of applied force – all the while doing so with minimal material usage.
Now thanks to DNX, racquets with stiff properties will gain the extreme stiffness for power, but will also feature softer and more flexible areas for unmatched levels of comfort and control. DNX is strategically placed in areas of the racquet to add stability – while retaining the optimum playability and feel demanded by players of all levels.
