DESCRIPTION:
The Dunlop Aerogel 9Hundred is a 100% HOTMELTTM graphite racket combining AEROGELTM, M-FILTM and VIBROCORETM technology. The Aerogel 9HUNDRED is designed for game improvers and allows extra power to be generated without compromising control. VIBROCORETM in the shaft of the racket gives superb protection from frame vibration and tennis elbow.
TECHNOLOGY:
Aerogel: Aerogel is a truly space age material. It is the world's lightest solid and has strength of up to 4,000 times its own weight. The three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased power.
- Create a more solid feel at the point of ball contact, for superior touch
- Reduce vibration within the racket frame for exceptional comfort
The end result is a racket that produces superior ball speed without forgoing accuracy or control.
M-Fil Technology: M-Fil (Multi Filament) is a combination of three materials that are incorporated into the hitting zone of the racket head to enhance the touch and feel of the racket where and when you need it most - at the moment of ball contact. The 3D braided structure at these key points enhances torsional stability at ball contact while frame deformation is similarly reduced and this helps to enhance dwell time on ball impact.
Hot melt: Hot Melt is a unique, heat-reactive, thermoplastic liquid which produces a molten skin that is layered over the whole racket frame. When this is cooled, it cures to create:
- Increased stiffness for ultimate power
- Superior consistency for unbeatalbe control
- Intense fibre strength for maximum durability
Vibrocore: Yet another innovative development from the Dunlop R&D team, Vibrocore dramatically reduces frame vibration by up to 45% after ball impact.
The racket is actually cut in half and then re-constructed using two additional pieces. A sleeve portion is made from a thermal-plastic resin system while the round core material is made of silicon rubber. These combine to produce an unrivalled vibration damping effect.
At ball impact shock waves are absorbed in the shaft of the racket into the silicon rubber core and are therefore not allowed to travel down the handle. This significantly reduces the risk of tennis elbow and provides exceptional comfort.
The sleeve portion also provides a ‘hinge’ effect which helps to provide exceptional rebound power while allowing for the ultimate in player comfort.
