The Aero Storm! The new Aero Storm is a lighter version to the ever popular 2007 babolat Aero Storm. At 11.1 ounces strung, it is a full 9 ounces lighter than the 2007 Aero Storm and 2008 Aero Storm Tour. Ideal for any player looking for a smaller headsize and a player oriented racquet frame maintaining a light weight maneuverable feel. A faster swing for optimal control!

TECHNOLOGY:

Cortex System: Cortex system is the first technology customized to filter different vibrations. Cortex is revolutionary active technology placed between the throat and handle of the racquet. With this new technology, the two parts of the racquet are linked by an interface in CDS (Cortex Damping System) material. This technology allows to filter the different vibration modes. It eliminates unnecessary vibrations and enhances the feel of the ball.

For competitive players, Cortex filters vibrations for purer feel of the ball.

For club players, Cortex provides maximum comfort.

Woofer: WOOFER is a patented inovation by Babolat. WOOFER is the first dynamic system which makes the frame and strings interact when striking the ball.

The frame is basically static and holds the driving force of the racquet - the strings - in place. Today the way strings are attached to the frame limits the performance of this driving force. The strings are attached to both sides of the frame. Only some strings are active when struck by the ball. This means that racquets do not deliver their full potential. babolat set out to imagine a racquet optimising the fram and the strings - to invent a frame which permits all the strings to work together to their full potential when striking the ball:

Pulley Function:

The WOOFER eliminates string lock-up : the strings are free to move.

The whole surface area reacts on impact : with the WOOFER, more strings work together when striking the ball. The strings are interactives.

Piston Function:

Increase the trampoline effect : the piston function enables greater surface deformation on impact.

Shock absorption : the pistons act like a suspension system to dampen vibrations.

DESCRIPTION:

The Babolat Aero Storm 2008 is a new addition to Babolat's highly popular Aero line of racquets. The 2008 version of the Aero Storm is a lighter weight, more maneuverable option to the Aero Storm Tour. The Aero Storm 2008 offers the same crisp, comfortable feel as its heavier predecessor. The racquet combines the AeroPro beam design in the throat and the and Pure Storm beam design in the hoop. This racquet is ideal for players with fast swing speeds that generate their own power. This more aerodynamic profile allows the racquet to cut through the air up to 15% more efficiently, thus allowing for more racquet head acceleration. A nice option for the intermediate to advanced player looking for a slightly easier to swing option in the Babolat Storm family of racquets.

Secondly, in this newer edition Babolat has inserted the ever popular growing technology, Cortex. Implementing the Cortex System within their frames, players will notice a more comfortable, dampened feel. The Cortex helps eliminate harmful vibrations created when the ball makes contact with the string bed, allowing for less stress on your elbow.
